What is maintenance mode?

In hybrid vehicles, if the engine is warm and the HV battery is well charged, the engine will automatically stop while the vehicle is stopped.
For this reason, it is necessary to shift to 2WD maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE MODE) when continuous engine operation is required even when the vehicle is stopped, such as when checking the ignition timing, adjusting the engine, or measuring and inspecting the exhaust gas during vehicle inspection. ..
Since TRC (traction control; tire slip prevention device) is adopted, when rotating only the front wheels with a speedometer tester etc., it is necessary to shift to the 2WD maintenance mode that deactivates the TRC device.
